Mayo Sports Partnership and St. Anthony’s School – Volleyball 2019

Every year Ray McNamara, Sports Inclusion Disability Officer with Mayo Sports Partnership, comes to our school and works with all our pupils on developing different physical skills, games, or sport activities. This year all pupils are learning a brand new sport – VOLLEYBALL. During February and March 2019 Ray has worked with all pupils of all ages and abilities on volleyball skills. Our photos show how everyone can be included in volleyball by simply lowering the level of the game to floor level – our pupils using wheelchairs feel so included this way!  Senior pupils really got into the game and it became quite competitive – with even teacher Ross joining in on the fun!
