We the students, staff, and Management,Parents Association, and the Board of Management of Saint St Anthony’s school in Castlebar are so delighted to have received the good news that we have been awarded €79,682 euro of the CLÁR FUNDING PROGRAMME 2026 for a new wheelchair accessible bus for the school.

We are just so grateful and delighted with this great news.

We want to thank everyone involved with the Clár Grant scheme who considered our application and granted us this money.

We also want to thank Alan Dillon TD, Dara Calleary TD,and Paul Lawless TD our local politicians who all supported us during the application process.

We also have to thank Sarah Butler At Home and her team who gave so generously of her time to our fundraiser in The Linenhall, Castlebar in May.

They raised €10,478.50 towards our bus fundraiser.

We also like to thank Helen Heneghan Lady Captain at the Castlebar Golf Club who had a fundraiser and donated €2,500 towards our fundraiser.

Also a big thank you to Fr.Conal Castlebar parish who also donated.

We also like to thank some parents from the school the Lohans who took part in the Hell and Back and the Langans for a personal fundraiser.

Just last week the Ansbro family raised over €20,000 at a family birthday and donated all money to our bus fundraiser.

We also like to thank staff member Annmarie Gallagher who took part in the mini marathon and Noelle Connell who is taking part in the half marathon this month and all money raised goes to the bus fundraiser.

We also set up a GoFundMe page so huge thank you to all who supported us on this .

Also a huge thank you to the continued support from Enya Egan Solicitors and our Christmas Bucket collection at supervalu.

So this has been a huge community effort and support to get us the funding to buy a new school bus and we in St Anthony's school would like to thank everyone who supported or helped us in anyway .

We are overwhelmed by everyone's support, and kindness.

Please be assured that this money will be spent wisely on a bus that will support our amazing students in their learning and fun activities.
