Happy Halloween from Senior D...

The pupils were learning about pointillism and the artist Damian Hirst. The pupils learnt about his ‘For the love of God’ art piece which the pupils recreated using the technique of pointillism.

Pupils in Senior D, E and F had the chance to use ‘Makey Makey’ which is an electronic invention kit that turns playdough into touchpads and computer keys to play music and games. All the pupils had great fun!

The Hedgehog. The pupils in primary 1 learned all about the Hedgehog. They used crushed up leaves to build a cosy nest to keep them safe and warm .

Students in Primary 3 have been exploring CVC words through fun engaging literacy games. They have been practising sounding out letters blends sounds together and building simple words. Keep up the great work P3!

Tourmakeady waterfall & playground was a big hit with all the students from Primary 3! They finished off their day with a little visit to McDonalds- well deserved! Great fun day all round!

As part of Maths Week the pupils got the opportunity to play lots of fun maths games such as Draughts, Bingo, Connect 4, Snakes and Ladders, Bus Stop and Shopping baskets with their friends to see how fun maths can be.

We the students, staff, and Management,Parents Association, and the Board of Management of Saint St Anthony’s school in Castlebar are so delighted to have received the good news that we have been awarded €79,682 euro of the CLÁR FUNDING PROGRAMME 2026 for a new wheelchair accessible bus for the school. The pupils had a great day playing some old school classics such as Connect 4, Twister, Guess Who, Hungry Hippos and Jenga.

Pupils in primary 1 were learning all about me and doing self portraits . They enjoyed making face puzzles .

Pupils in primary 1 were learning all about colours . They focused in on green and red and enjoyed painting the Mayo flag . We are looking forward to the Mayo team visiting the school soon.

Senior D loved the science experiment and learned all about diffusion and how colours move.

Our fantastic pupils took part in picker pals today and did a great job picking up rubbish all around the school and along the path. Well done senior D.

Senior D were delighted with the Mayo win so we learned all about Mayo and coloured in the Mayo crest.
