Elaine from Balancing Act Toys visited St. Anthony’s School last Friday with some beautiful new resources for our Primary classes. The pupils are already enjoying their new toys and will have hours of fun with them! We are absolutely delighted and would like to extend a big thank you for thinking of us and taking the time to visit. ❤️🥰

Senior D made some Advent wreaths to count down the weeks until christmas .

The pupils in St. Anthony’s school collected many shoeboxes for the Shoebox appeal. They were very excited to bring joy to other children around the world. Special thanks to Mia and Ava from Breaffy school who popped into school with two shoeboxes made with their own money. Well done to all ❤️✨🎁 Super effort everyone. ❤️

Primary 3 had a beautiful morning in Balla exploring the sensory garden, fun in the play ground and great competitive games of tennis!!

The theme for November in Primary 3 was ' Our senses'. The children explored different materials- rough, smooth, hard and soft. They completed beautiful selections of art using different textures. Designing their initials using variety of different fabrics & fibre. This was a big hit! Lovely work Primary 3!

In November we remember. All pupils decorated a candle for their loved ones. We will continue to pray for these special people and keep them in our thoughts and prayers for the month of November .

The pupils got their tiles back which they made through the ‘Towards Inclusion’ programme with Davitt College students. They came back from the kiln and they look fabulous!

In Personal Health & Safety Senior F are learning about the law and the judicial system. Garda Padraig O’Connor gave the pupils a tour of the station and they had a fun and informative morning. Many thanks Padraig.

Personal trainer and yoga instructor Neil Douglas came to St. Anthony’s and took all our pupils for a yoga session.

As part of Personal Health & Safety the pupils in Senior F have been learning about the effects of litter and its impact on wildlife.

St. Anthony’s girls represented the school and Mayo and went to Sligo to partake in the ISSSC basketball tournament. They played against schools from Sligo, Donegal and Galway. Some brilliant skills and attitude on show.

We had a spook-tacular day in school .😱 We started with a Halloween parade around the school where all pupils and staff showed of their scary costumes . We ended the day with Halloween disco and enjoyed some Halloween treats throughout the day. Witching you all a frightfully delightful Halloween. Hope your Halloween is full of fun and candy.

Senior E had a fantastic October, filled with culture, learning, and a whole lot of fun! We kicked things off at the #Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar, where we enjoyed the heartwarming show “The Land of a Hundred Little Hills,” inspired by Patrick Kavanagh’s beloved Christmas poem. Next up was an exciting field trip to Achill Sea Salt, where co-owner Majorary treated us to a fascinating tasting tour and behind-the-scenes look at this local treasure. And to wrap up the mont

As part of maths week the pupils got to play lots of board games and other games which incorporates various maths skills. A fun way to learn maths!

Senior D have been busy making bracelets for their pop up shop. We will also have Halloween pencils and keyrings and other items to sell.
