Beautiful willow bird feeders.
Friday 20th of March completed our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. We had Tom Delaney (Ould Crafty) from Claremorris an artist keeping the traditional craft of basket making alive. Tom spent the day with us in St.Anthonys Special School explaining his craft and the willow and products he uses. He helped the students to make beautiful bird feeders that they got to take home. The pupils learned so much about the history, community and significance of the village. In line with our learning about medieval castles, we were treated to a truly special day at Ashford
