Senior E had a wonderful start to the year, enjoying some memorable field trips that brought their learning to life.
As part of our work on villages in Ireland, we visited Knock where we enjoyed a fascinating tour of the museum and the Basilica, expertly led by Mary from the shrine office.
The pupils learned so much about the history, community and significance of the village. In line with our learning about medieval castles,

we were treated to a truly special day at Ashford Castle from Hot Chocolate in Mrs Tea’s to a guided tour of the castle and it’s many beautiful rooms.
It was a magical experience, we certainly felt like VIPs for the day.
A sincere thank you to the wonderful staff in both locations for their warm welcome and generosity. These trips will be remembered fondly by all.
